Managing your finances with Cogni has never been easier, especially when it comes to depositing money into your account.
Whether you prefer a traditional bank transfer or a payroll deposit, Cogni offers multiple ways to fund your account. Here's a detailed guide on how to deposit funds with Cogni.
Getting Started with Deposits in the Cogni Mobile Application
To get started with any of these deposit methods, simply:
Open the Cogni Mobile Application: Navigate to the homepage.
Select 'Fund': Click on the 'fund' button to view your deposit options.
Choose Your Preferred Method: Select from Bank Transfer (ACH Bank Deposit), or Payroll Deposit (Direct Deposit), and follow the on-screen instructions.
Option 1: Bank Transfer
Completing a bank transfer with an ACH Bank deposit is a simple and straightforward way to transfer funds from your external bank account to your Cogni account. Here's how you can do it:
Connect Your Bank Account: Open the Cogni Mobile Application and navigate to the 'fund' section on the homepage.
Select ACH Bank Deposit: Follow the prompts to seamlessly connect to your external bank account, allowing you to simply log in and connect your external account of choice.
Initiate the Transfer: Once your bank account is linked, you can initiate a transfer. Enter the amount you wish to deposit and confirm the transaction.
Processing Time: ACH Bank Deposits typically take 3-6 business days to complete. Be sure to plan ahead if you need the funds by a specific date.
Option 2: Payroll Deposit
For those who receive regular payments like paychecks or benefits, adding your payroll deposit is a convenient option. This can be done by setting up your Direct Deposit inside the Cogni mobile application. By setting up direct deposit with Cogni, you can enjoy the added benefit of accessing your paycheck up to two days early as well. Here you will find two options to get started:
Connect Your Payroll Provider: Select to Auto Enroll in the Direct Deposit section inside the Cogni Mobile Application, and easily connect with your payroll provider. Here you will be able to choose from popular employers, common payroll providers (e.g. ADP, Workday, Gusto, Justworks), and known gig-economy services (e.g. Doordash, Uber, Lyft). And finally, you will be able to set how much you want deposited into your account, whether it is a full or partial paycheck deposit.
Share Your Routing and Account Numbers: These can be found in the Cogni Mobile Application under your account details.
Provide Information to Your Employer: Give your Cogni routing and account numbers to your employer or the entity issuing your payments.
Receive Your Funds: Once set up, your funds will be automatically deposited into your Cogni account on payday.
Early Pay Eligibility: If you have two direct deposits of $300 or more over a rolling 30-day period, you can qualify for early pay, which allows you to access your paycheck two days earlier than the scheduled date.
Depositing money into your Cogni account is designed to be seamless and flexible, catering to your financial needs with ease. Choose the option that best suits you and enjoy the convenience of managing your funds with Cogni.
